From time to time, you may have seen some young men driving flashy sports cars. In your heart you may be thinking either they are young and successful or they are born with a silver spoon. Little would you know that they may have bought these cars from repossessed car auctions? The truth is that you can save thousands of dollars when you buy repo cars, also called repossessed or seized automobiles from a government seized auto auction.

The government agencies and banks are busy seizing vehicles like sedans, sports cars, Sports Utility Vehicles, Multi-Purpose Vehicles, trucks, RVs and motorcycles every single day. These automobiles are repossessed mostly from tax and loan defaulters or during raids on drug syndicates or criminal hangouts.

Since it is expensive to continue carrying them in the inventories as well as the daily depreciation in the vehicle values, the agencies cannot wait to quickly “dispose” of these automobiles. This creates a buying opportunity for anyone who wishes to buy repo cars as their own personal vehicles or to resell for profits.

Car depreciation is hardly a problem you want to fuss over when you buy repossessed cars since there wouldn’t be any to start with. This is quite unlike a new car which loses as much as $4000 or more the very moment you drive it out of the car dealership. Since you could be paying for as little as 10% of its original price tag for your repo car, you are already in a better financial position.

Seized auto auctions used to be the playground of used car dealers rather than private individuals. This is no longer the case now for you after reading this article. Perhaps you cannot wait to head to the automobile auctions to buy repo cars at rock bottom prices. Second hand car dealers have long been car hunting at these seized vehicle auctions to buy vehicles at way below the Blue Book Values. They then resell them for generous margins through their dealership or second-hand garages. If you have owned a second-hand car, it could have come from the auctions.

Dealers are well-informed about these auctions but this is about to change completely. Recently, automobile websites have been emerging with huge databases detailing the locations of repossessed vehicle auctions. At these sites, you can easily find the car make and model you like and know exactly where it is offered should it be available.

Forget about the conventional methods of browsing through the local newspapers as well as car magazines for outdated news. Using these online websites, you can instantly know where to find and buy repo cars. Hurry and perform a quick check now at my auto blog.

If you’ve received your car transport estimates and have selected a car transport service there are some preparations you need to take before your car shipping company comes to pick up your car or when you leave it at the car shipping service’s terminal.

Take these steps ahead of time to minimize potential problems that could arise while your car is being shipped:

Unless you are shipping a non-operating car or truck, like an antique automobile, and your car shipping service knows about it, have your car serviced ahead of time so that it will start, stop and roll like it’s supposed to.

Check your car’s fluids, battery charge and air pressure in the tires.

Secure or remove any bolted on accessories, like roof racks, extra mirrors, air dams, spoilers, etc.

Lower or remove all antennas. If you have an E-Z pass device remove it before shipping.

Thoroughly wash the car and clean the interior. If shipping the car overseas, have the undercarriage washed. The destination country may require it.

Have any fluid leakage problems corrected. If you car is leaking fluid, make sure the car shipping service knows about it in advance and that the driver is aware of it so your car doesn’t get placed above another car in transit and damage it.

Don’t leave this item until the last minute.

Provide a full set of keys to your car shipping service. If you need to make additional keys, do so ahead of time and make sure they all work.

If you’re moving the car to an area with harsh weather, get it ready by having the air conditioning serviced, the antifreeze protection increased, or by using the proper viscosity oil for the new climate. Remove all personal items from your vehicle. Shipping personal effects inside a car that’s being shipped is against the law in the US and the car shipping service can get fined. Additionally, personal effects in your car general don’t have much if any insurance coverage and you are exposing them to the risk of theft.

The only thing you should leave in the car is the jack and the spare tire.

Try to leave no more than a quarter tank of gas in the car when it’s picked up for shipment or dropped off at the car shipping service’s location. Safely empty any RV propane tanks.

If your car has an alarm, disable it to prevent if from accidentally going off while your car is in

Agree with it or not there are masses of employment possibilities in auto detailing and this is a career as it is the sort of business you can learn as you’re employed. It only take a couple of months and you can go from a neophyte to a seasoned of vet of the industry in a busy detail shop.

Many people who work in the auto detailing business are actually independent contractors and they get paid for each car they do and the shop deals with a consumer and cuts them a check at the end of every day or week for all of the cars that they have detailed. It is kind of like a running your own business, but someone else is paying all of the bills.

With so many autos, you have your choice of buyers with whom to work. You may want to target a specific niche market to focus on a certain type of service or particular sort of buyer. As an example, there are new auto owners, auto dealerships, RV owners or rental corporations, classic car owners, even your average man car driver who wants his vehicle looking good.

If you love vehicles auto detailing is an excellent job as you work around some of the nicest vehicles around. There are work possibilities in the auto detailing business and perhaps you may wish to think about this as a future possible career trail or a stepping stone while you learn a new trade.

Volunteering in your community is another inexpensive technique to get your business name out there. Participate in local events and give away chits for your auto detailing service. Hold a drawing to collect names of prospective clients, the winner getting a free detail service. You may publicize on telly, radio and the web for less money than you might imagine. Submitting a public relations release is a great example – the media will promote you for free if you send them a great news story about your business.

If you treat your clients well, you’ll end up not having to spend plenty of your time selling because you’ll benefit from repeat patrons. Talking of which, you may want to ask those clients for referrals.

Are there good places to get training? But you will find such coaching in all the parts of the country. Another question that is regularly asked my new entrants into the pro automotive detailing industry is; how much cash does it take to get started?

The solution to this question is that; it is dependent on if you’re going to try and service, wholesale car lot and automobile auction detailing or retail detail or a combination. Perhaps you may be detailing aircraft? Perhaps you are a fired aircraft mechanic and want to detail aircraft then you may be setting up an airplane mobile detailing business or a hanger based operation.

For aircraft cleaning an A & P mechanic would not need much coaching, except maybe quick buffer lessons and review of aircraft coatings and paint; Imron, Polyurethane, and so on. And fabric, Stits, Ceconite, for example. You see the amounts you generate in income will vastly alter depending on the kind of business you run. So think it all through carefully before you leap into the deep end in the detailing business.

The first step is to actually find the repo trailers, which you can do by getting in touch with a bank or similar lending institution.  It’s not always easy getting through to the correct person’s desk, but your persistence will pay off.  Someone will be able to tell you what they have available and whether anyone form the general public is allowed to bid at the auction.  Hopefully, more than one lender will be able to help you find available bank repo trailers.  On the West Coast, American General Finance is bigger than any other sub-prime lender.  We always sent them our buyers who couldn’t find another source of financing.  That, quite frankly, is one of the reasons sub-prime lenders are such a great source of bank repo trailers.

Both silent and vocal auctions are common for selling repo trailers.  Generally you’ll be permitted to inspect the trailer prior to the auction-at the very least you can do a walk through.  Once you purchase the repo trailer, though, the sale is considered final.  You purchase the Trailer as-is.

A bank repo trailer is not like a bank repo home.  It’s generally in great condition.  Try to get the most for every dollar.  Bank auctions are terrific for finding trailers with upgrades.  Things like multiple slide outs, internet access, satellites and generators will come a lot cheaper.  Get the most trailer you  can for the price.

Have a focus before you go to make your bank repo trailer purchase.  That’s key.  If you know exactly what the maximum is that you’re willing to spend before the auction begins, then you’ll avoid bidding wars and over paying.  Don’t go back once you’ve decided.  Stay committed to you maximum bid.  There are other repo trailers out there-people who get emotional at auction and start overbidding are the ones who lose.

Be sure, if you’re allowed, to make a full inspection of your bank repo trailer.  Compute the costs of any repairs and deduct that total from your already decided maximum bid.  But even if you are not allowed to inspect the trailer, you still ought to have a contingency figured into the equation.  A good figure is between five and fifteen percent above the cost of small repairs.  If you’re in a state with a lemon law, you’ll still be able to take the bank repo trailer back as much as three days after the purchase if you come upon a big problem.

Be sure you’re aware of the repo trailer’s value.  That’s fundamental, and it’s where you start when trying to find a good deal on a bank repo trailer at auction.  Know in advance the precise value of your target trailer.  Use NADA, or use the Kelley Blue Book.  Remember, if you’re using NADA, that your price is the private party price.  You’re generally aiming to get the repo trailer at or under trade-in value.  This price is actually something of a guarded secret, but you can get a good general idea by calling dealerships and letting them think they might be getting a trade in.  After talking to two or three, you’ll have a solid idea of what’s a good, low price that you can begin to work with.

That’s all.  Good luck finding a great bargain on your next bank repo trailer!

Want useful information about PA public auto auction? You are not the only one searching. According to Google’s search count, hundreds of people are looking for “public auto auctions in Pennsylvania, PA” and “how to buy a cheap car at PA public car auction”.

How to Buy a Cheap Car at a Pennsylvania Public Auto Auction

It is not difficult if you know how. First of all, you need to know where to find the cheap cars.

There are different categories of auto auctions. You have the seized/repossessed car auctions, police automobile auctions and the private auctions. Obviously, we are giving the private auctions a miss.

Seized car auctions and police automobile auctions are held by the police departments and sheriff offices as well as government agencies and private financial institutions like banks and loan companies.

DOE, NEA, DOD, FBI, IRS, USMS and other state agencies seize and confiscate vehicles from tax defaulters and other offenders on various charges. Banks and loan companies likewise have to take possession of mortgaged vehicles when their clients fail to pay off their debts.

Depreciation of used vehicles is fast and before the paper value runs out, these inventories are cleared quickly through cheap auctions. This is where you can step in to seize the opportunity.

Steps to Finding a Cheap Deal at a PA Public Auto Auction

Search the newspapers and auto magazines for news of public car auctions in Pennsylvania. Start first with the local newspapers like The Sentinel, The Dallas Post, The Morning Call, The Times News, The Times Herald and others, and widen your search to the national newspapers.

A trick to do is to look at the smaller publications. Most people do not bother checking their classified ads but this is where you can find small scale, lesser known public auto auctions in PA, Pennsylvania. This reduces bidding competition.

Another way is to fish for information at the local police departments and government agencies. They will be able to tell you when they are scheduling the next PA public auto auction.

The quickest and most convenient way will be to use a car auction search directory. These are huge databases and announcement boards of auto auctions both current and future. Users can also know the exact operating hours and dates and may get to see the available automobiles auctioned.

So if you are looking for a Pennsylvania PA public auto auction, this is your best chance.

There are many reasons to get insurance. When you have accumulated some wealth, asset protection becomes an insurance consideration. In the olden days you would make your castle larger and then protect against marauders with a moat and high walls. Today most communities don’t allow moats or high stone walls. And the marauders are trial lawyers that could try to take all that you have worked to earn!

A good insurance agent will work with you to have the best possible protection for your situation. It is important to have a balanced plan. You don’t want to have a 12′ front wall and a 1′ rear wall. In insurance terms this means not having $500,000 liability protection for your home in combination with $20,000 liability coverage on your cars.

An example of an asset protection program might include ½ million of liability on a home, autos, RV’s, boats, etc… Life insurance of 7 to ten times earnings can also be a part of asset protection. (Your life and ability to earn is a very important asset!)

The next level could be an umbrella policy. This starts where your other insurance ends off. Umbrella’s often start at a half million and larger amounts are available. Disability, health, and long term care insurance are other considerations.

This article is not enough information to make an insurance plan. My suggestion is to find an insurance agent you trust and develop a plan for your needs. Then update your coverage as your needs change. Texas residents are welcome to contact me at my Houston insurance agency

The cars air filter is an extremely important part to your car because it maintains many parts of your car system by keeping these systems completely clean by keeping them free of dirt. If the cars air filter does not work properly and dirt is allowed to enter your car system problems might start occurring. Car maintenance can be difficult enough thanks to normal wear and tear without having to worry about problems that can be prevented by having a working air filter. For this reason it is extremely important that you keep an eye on your air filter so that you can replace it when necessary. Replacing an air filter is one thing that can be very easy to do once you are taught and doing this replacement yourself will save you time and money.

If you do not know how to judge when your air filter needs to be replaced then try to make sure you change your air filter based on mileage or a set time frame. It is recommended that you change your cars air filter every 15,000 miles it is driven. If you do not drive your car often or far then make sure that you change your cars air filter once every year. Some people who live and drive in extremely dusty or dirty areas (high pollution levels) might want to change their air filters even more often.

When you feel it is time to check your cars air filter, especially if you live in a dirty area where changing should be done more often, check the filter to see how it is holding up. Most air filters are located under the hood in newer cars. The cars air filter in a newer car is usually rectangular in shape and near the radiator or the fender wells.

If you are not sure where the air filter is have a look at your cars owner manual or even ask the workers at an auto repair shop the next time you go in to buy some windshield wiper fluid or to get an oil change. Once you have located the air filter remove it and use a flashlight to shine through the air filter. If the light shines through pretty clearly then your cars air filter is usually still good. If you cannot see the light or the air filter looks blatantly dirty it is time for a change.

To remove the filter, if you haven’t already done so to check, you will usually have to open a compartment or unclasp the air filter from the area it is secured in. If you have an older car changing the air filter can be little bit more difficult. These air filters are often found near the actual engine area and are screwed in. In most cases all you have to do is removing the cover using the screw driver so that the air filter can be removed and replaced with a new air filter. In a few cars there are additional clamps or clips that must be removed as well.

Finding new air filters is not usually that hard. Most stores that sell auto supplies carry a variety of air filters and most car owner manuals will state what sort of air filters and other parts are needed to help maintain the car. If all else fails the car manufacture or dealership should be able to help you find out what type of air filter is needed and will probably even be able to tell you where to find the air filter.
